If you’re anything like me, you’ve spent the last week doing some serious festive indulging. Stuffing, roast potatoes, cheeseboards, chocolate and more than one or two Bailey’s! You might be feeling like even a classic white russian can’t tempt you right now. I felt the same after sitting down to type this whilst in the midst of an extreme sugar coma. We’ve still got hogmanay (or Read Post
Ahh say hello to the beauty that is homemade Christmas stollen! Stollen has long been one of my favourite festive treats so I was pretty stoked to try making it at home. (My mum, however, was less excited as she’s bought some especially for me coming home at Christmas. I assured her I’ll have no problem eating that too!)
Last Christmas was the first time I ever made this pork & chestnut stuffing. Actually, I was cooking a full Christmas dinner for the first time, too. For 13 people. Talk about throwing yourself in at the deep end eh? Because I’m not totally insane, I did a test run of the stuffing recipe at the end of November and, honestly, I was kinda surprised at how great it Read Post
When I shared a picture of these dark chocolate lebkuchen on instagram a few weeks ago, you guys seemed preeeetty into them. And, for good reason. There’s not much better than something sweet dipped in dark chocolate! That shiny chocolate was waaay too tempting. I’m not even gonna admit how many of these I managed to get through during this shoot…
These roasted brussel sprouts with pine nuts and crispy little bits of pancetta have kind of been a game changer for me. I’m well aware that a post about brussel sprouts may seem like a bit of a let down after sharing that chocolate orange bread wreath a few days ago. I get it, I do. Brussel sprouts are never gonna be the star of the Christmas Read Post
If you follow me on instagram or twitter, you’ve probably seen this chocolate orange bread wreath way too many times already. I can’t even apologise for that because it just needed to be shared. Guys, I think I’ve outdone myself with this one. This buttery, chocolatey baked joy, warm straight from the oven, is an absolute dream.
Oh heyyy delicious comfort food! There are so many good things going on in this Moroccan Lamb Stuffed Butternut Squash that I don’t even know where to begin. And yes, I realise that name is a bit of a mouthful but I couldn’t find a shorter way to adequately describe this dreamy roasted squash dish.
Last week Ricky and I spent an evening at the beautiful Jesmond Dene House in Newcastle. One of the main attractions of the hotel is it’s restaurant so, needless to say, I was very excited to sample the food on offer!
I made this spicy chorizo bean soup last week but it feels pretty timely to share it today. Doesn’t it feel like winter has seriously arrived now?? Chilly days like this always have me craving proper, hearty comfort food. Add in some spicy chorizo and I’m a very happy lady!
Guys, let me start with a warning. If you’re hungry, go get a snack, right now. You do not wanna be looking at delicious salted caramel macadamia blondies with a rumbling tummy.
