Last week Ricky and I spent an evening at the beautiful Jesmond Dene House in Newcastle. One of the main attractions of the hotel is it’s restaurant so, needless to say, I was very excited to sample the food on offer!
I made this spicy chorizo bean soup last week but it feels pretty timely to share it today. Doesn’t it feel like winter has seriously arrived now?? Chilly days like this always have me craving proper, hearty comfort food. Add in some spicy chorizo and I’m a very happy lady!
Guys, let me start with a warning. If you’re hungry, go get a snack, right now. You do not wanna be looking at delicious salted caramel macadamia blondies with a rumbling tummy.
Let me start this post with a little story about this beetroot goats cheese lentil salad. After making it for about the millionth time a few weeks ago, I thought to myself “I should totally share this on the blog”. So, later that week, with very pink fingers (I never learn!) Look at me, declaring these to be the ULTIMATE chewy chocolate brownies. I’m pretty sure the ‘brazenly titled recipe post’ is a rite of passage for food bloggers so it was about time, really… Heh, I’m joking, but this recipe really has been a loooong time in the making. Despite having a LOT of cakes & desserts on this blog, brownies haven’t made an appearance until Read Post
The inspiration for this recipe comes from a rather unlikely place: Gourmet Burger Kitchen. Now, you may have noticed that this halloumi & kiwifruit summer salad doesn’t involve burgers. Obviously.
Guess who’s baaaack! Say hello to these summery honey & peach yoghurt ice lollies. They’re super easy to make, with only 3 ingredients: creamy greek yoghurt, sweet roasted peaches and a generous drizzle of honey.
