Gin Daisy Cocktail

October 22, 2014

I’ve been meaning to try my hand at some cocktails for ages so when this set of mini cocktail syrups caught my eye a couple of weeks ago it seemed like the perfect opportunity. I’m starting off simple, so this is a really straightforward recipe that doesn’t require any fancy equipment.

Admittedly, today’s recipe is more of a summery one, and indeed I made and enjoyed it in the slightly warmer climate of Malta last week. Returning to the baltic weather of Scotland after a week of 30 degrees sunshine has been a bit of a shock to the system, to say the least! Having said that, there’s no reason fun drinks should be limited to summer and perhaps a boozy, fruity gin daisy cocktail will be just the ticket to brighten up cold winter evenings!

Oh, and if this is all a bit too summery for you, I’ve got a super seasonal recipe coming up on Saturday 😉
