Qcumber Cosmopolitan

December 2, 2014

I was recently sent the beautiful hamper above with the task of creating a cocktail based on innovative new soft drink, Qcumber. If you haven’t heard of it, Qcumber is a soft drink  combining natural cucumber essence and gently sparkling water. It’s also free from artificial sweeteners, colours, preservatives and flavouring and contains only natural ingredients. Which basically means I can claim this cocktail is healthy, right!?

My Qcumber Cosmopolitan is a bit of a twist on a classic. The fresh cucumber helps to dial down the tartness of the cranberry resulting in a wonderfully mellow cocktail. The Qcumber also adds a bit of fizz which makes it feel that little bit more festive!

Cosmopolitan is a vodka based drink but if that’s not your thing, Qcumber also makes a great partner for gin or Pimms. If you’re looking for more insiration, follow @QcumberUK on Facebook and Twitter for more recipes. I’ve already got several new ideas lined up and reckon a Qcumber Bloody Mary could be on the cards next time I’m in need of some hair of the dog…

If you fancy making your own Qcumber Cosmopolitan, you can pick Qcumber up in Tesco, Ocado, Booths, Harrods and leading health food stores. I reckon I’ll be stocking up in time for the Christmas party season!
