This cinnamon apple yoghurt bowl is so simple that I’m not sure it even counts as a recipe. Still, it’s something I make all the time because it’s as easy as it is delicious.
I’ve been thinking a bit about the direction of this blog lately, and the kind of content I want to share.
At the moment it’s a bit of a mish mash of recipes. There’s some quick & easy, like chorizo scrambled eggs, and then there are more time consuming (but totally worth it!) recipes like the chocolate orange bread wreath or sweet potato gnocchi.
Sidenote: I’d totally forgotten that gnocchi recipe even existed til right this minute and now I want it, asap!
Obviously, I am the kind of person who will quite happily spend hours in the kitchen. (Err, right up until the moment it goes wrong. Definitely not referring to the mini cake tantrum I had last weekend. But I digress…)
That said, I realise that a lot of you don’t have the time or the inclination to spend ages on complicated recipes. And honestly, a lot of the time these days I don’t either.
SO, instead of worrying about whether a recipe is ‘from-scratch’ enough, it’s time to embrace simplicity!
When it comes to easy recipes, this cinnamon apple yoghurt bowl is right up there. It’s so similar to my banana protein breakfast bowls that I almost didn’t share it.
Sometimes though, it takes actually seeing some ingredients thrown together to realise how perfectly they go! This time, there’s only 4 ingredients: greek yoghurt, cinnamon, maple syrup and grated apple. Told you, dead simple!
This is my go-to recipe for a multitude of situations: light breakfast, easy post-run snack, waiting-for-Ricky-to-get-home-for-dinner snack…
Tell me, what are your favourite ‘not-even-really-a-recipe’ recipes?
